J.P. Bolduc - President and CEO
Mr. Bolduc is the founder and CEO of JPB Enterprises, Inc and is the Senior Managing Director and CEO for JPB Capital Partners II. Prior to forming JPBE, Mr. Bolduc was President and Chief Executive Officer of W.R. Grace & Co. ("Grace"), a Fortune 100 company, and, President and CEO of J.A. Jones, Inc., a multi-national, multi-billion dollar engineering and construction firm. During his more than 35-year business career as an executive officer, entrepreneur, private equity investor, and board member, Mr. Bolduc has been involved in more than 200 acquisitions and divestitures.
Prior to his management positions at Grace, Mr. Bolduc was a Vice President and Partner at the global management and technical consulting firm of Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Inc. and a presidential appointee to three U.S. Presidentsserving as the Assistant Secretary of Agriculture under Presidents Nixon and Ford, and from 1982 to 1985, serving as the Chief Operating Officer for President Reagan's Private Sector Survey on Cost Control (the "Grace Commission"). As COO of the Grace Commission, Mr. Bolduc led the efforts of 161 prominent business leaders (consisting almost entirely of Fortune 500 CEOs) and more than 2,000 private sector business leaders in a study focused on identifying managerial and operational cost savings opportunities, as well as revenue enhancement initiatives in federal government operations. President Reagan also appointed Mr. Bolduc to lead his Task Force on Food Assistance in 1983.
In 1990, Mr. Bolduc partnered with William E. Simon, Sr., the former U.S. Secretary of the Treasury and Chairman of Wesray, to form Catterton-Simon Partners ("CSP"), a Greenwich, Connecticut-based private equity firm focused on the consumer products industry. Mr. Bolduc served as a general partner of CSP's first three private equity funds.
Mr. Bolduc serves as chairman and director of numerous social, civic and government boards and commissions and is or has been a director of several privately held and public corporations, including W.R. Grace, Unisys Corporation, Management Consulting Group PLC, J.A. Jones, Inc., EnPro Corporation, Newmont Gold Corporation, Sundstrand Corporation, the Columbia Bank, Marshall & Ilsley Corporation, and Lance Inc. Mr. Bolduc is a trustee of the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester,is on the Advisory Council for Graduate Studies and Research at the University of Notre Dame School of Graduate Studies, and serves on the Board of Directors of Hospice of Baltimore. Mr. Bolduc earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota.
Raymond D. Sweet - Vice President - Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Sweet has been with JPBE since 2003 and brings domestic and international experience in finance, operations and general management to the Company. As Chief Financial Officer and Business Manager for Broadcast Sports, Inc., Mr. Sweet was responsible for strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, financial reporting and general business management.
Prior to joining Broadcast Sports, he worked at Chemspec, Inc., a multi-national specialty chemical manufacturer, for eight years. At Chemspec, he filled a variety of positions including Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Controller. Prior to joining Chemspec, Mr. Sweet held several positions in manufacturing, banking and public accounting.
Mr. Sweet earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Towson State University and Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Sellinger Graduate School of Business at Loyola College. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Gayle A. Van Horn - Vice President - Human Resources
Mrs. Van Horn has been with JPBE since 1996 and brings broad experience and expertise in the management of human resources to JPBE. Prior to joining the Company, Mrs. Van Horn served in various human resource capacities for Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Inc., Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maryland and Evaluation Technologies, Inc. Mrs. Van Horn has managed all aspects of the human resources function, with emphasis on staffing and retention planning, performance management programs, benefits and compensation systems, change management, regulatory compliance, and employee communications.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education from Albion College and a Master of Business Administration from the Sellinger Graduate School of Business at Loyola College.
Mark Rhode - Vice President
Steven L. Tiedemann - General Counsel
Mr. Tiedemann joined JPBE as General Counsel in 2006. His practice involves most areas of business and corporate law, including business valuations, corporate structuring, business transactions, fiduciary claims, estate law, construction law and government contracting. He has worked with public and private corporations, as well as small family-owned businesses and individuals. Mr. Tiedemann is also an Adjunct Professor at Mt. St. Mary’s University where he teaches upper-level courses in Corporate Finance, Managerial Economics, Business Law, Leadership, and Quantitative Methods for Managers.
Previously, Mr. Tiedemann was a Partner with the firms of Coover, Barr & Tiedemann, LLC, and Tiedemann and Stesch, LLC. He was an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Maryland and served as an Appellate Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Glenn T. Harrell, Jr. on the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland. He served with the U.S. Navy during Desert Storm and received the National Defense Service Medal.
Mr. Tiedemann holds a Jurist Doctorate with honors from the University of Maryland School of Law, a Masters of Science Administration in Business from Central Michigan University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and Mathematics from the University of the State of New York.
Thomas Payne - Associate - Accounting
Mr. Payne joined the Company in 2005 as an Associate bringing over 10 years of public and private accounting experience to the Firm. Prior to joining JPBE, Mr. Payne was an Accountant with the private firm of Patrick J. Svehula. He also served as an accountant with increasing responsibility with firms such as C-Biz Nemphos Weber, Maryland Investment Group and T. Rowe Price.
He holds a Masters of Health Administration from Duke University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Maryland. Mr. Payne is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Valuation Analyst.
